Twilight Hours: Smart Scheduling That Plans Around the Perfect Light 🌅

Twilight shoots are time-sensitive. That’s why we’ve built a smart scheduling system that treats them with special care—automatically organizing other services around the twilight window to create the most efficient schedule possible for your team.


What Are Twilight Hours?

In your Schedule Settings, you can define a Twilight Hours window—for example, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Any products tagged as "twilight" will be scheduled only within this timeframe.


How the Smart Scheduler Works

When an order includes both twilight and non-twilight services, our scheduling algorithm:

  1. Identifies the twilight services in the order.

  2. Schedules all non-twilight services first, working backward from the twilight start time.

  3. Ensures all prior services finish just before twilight services begin, so the entire order is handled by one team member without idle time or backtracking.


Example: How It Plays Out

Let’s say a customer orders the following:

  • Twilight Photography (1 hour)

  • Floorplan Measurements (1 hour)

  • 3D Scan (1 hour)

If your Twilight Hours start at 5:00pm, here’s how we’ll schedule it:

  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm → 3D Scan

  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm → Floorplan

  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm → Twilight Photography

By stacking services like this, your team member is on-site once and completes the entire job in a seamless flow—finishing just in time for twilight shots at the ideal lighting.

How to Enable Twilight Hours

Step 1: Enable Twilight hours

  • Go to the Schedule Settings dashboard in your Storefront

  • Click "Edit" in the Twilight Hours settings box.

  • Add your first available timeslot and your last available time slot

Step 2: Identify Twilight Services/Products

  • Go to the Product Edit page for any product

  • Check the "Twilight Service" option

  • Save the changes to your product

Products that are flagged for twilight will be indicated on your Manage Products dashboard.
