How "Admin Chooses Time" Works with Twilight Services 🌅

If your Storefront uses the Admin Chooses Time scheduling option, customers won’t select a specific time during checkout. Instead, they simply choose their preferred day, and you assign the exact time later based on your availability and schedule.

This system gives you maximum flexibility in managing your team’s calendar while still providing customers with a convenient booking experience.

What Customers See

When customers use your order form:

  • They select a day for their appointment—no timeslot is shown.

  • If any twilight-tagged services (like Twilight Photography) are included in their cart, the order form notifies them that these services will be scheduled within your defined Twilight Hours.

What Happens Behind the Scenes

Once an order is submitted:

  • You (the admin) review the order and assign an exact start time based on your team's availability and the services ordered.

  • Non-twilight services can be scheduled earlier in the day, with flexible stacking depending on your team's workload.

Why Use This Setup?

  • Maximizes your control over scheduling, so you can optimize routes, staff assignments, and workload.

  • Prevents overbooking by respecting your Max Daily Twilight Orders settings. Please note that Max Daily Twilight Orders is independent from your Max Daily Orders, so make sure you adjust both settings to fit your estimated capacity limits.

  • Keeps the booking process fast and simple for customers—just pick a day and go!

Configuration

If you want to adjust Twilight Hours, Max Orders, or your availability, head to your Storefront settings and fine-tune as needed.

Once you have your Max Daily Twilight Orders set, be sure to flag your twilight services from the Product Editor:
