Due to the large amount of automated/bot traffic hitting websites, automatically loading the Google Map on every page view was resulting in significant and unnecessary performance and usage costs.
To help prevent that, the map now initially displays a lightweight map placeholder. Visitors can simply click “Show Map” to load the interactive Google Map when they actually want to view it.
This doesn't affect the functionality of the map for visitors, it just prevents it from loading unnecessarily in the background.
